Life comes out of a storm

I was out walking on the beach and saw thousands of sea life all over the shore.  People were gathering some to take home as their dinner.  This thought entered my mind : “Life comes out of a storm”. I knew that the Holy Spirit was referring to the storm of COVID we are all facing now.

This unexpected storm has taken us all by surprise and it has disrupted the world in so many ways.  Some has lost their loved ones, education and graduations were minimised, some I know have lost their jobs and daily we are facing uncertainties.

In the midst of COVID storm, we have heard of testimonies of how God has supplied all their needs (ours included).  Some are doing better in their businesses and we have friends who have been promoted in their jobs.  If you have seen the blessings of the Lord and have a testimony to share how He has been with you since COVID hit, please send us your testimony.

Looking back at this beach covered with sea food (literally) brings home a truth to me.  These were embedded on the rocks or deeper in the sea.  The storm brought them to the surface. What is coming up in us that we can call life or even provide life to others around us?

Psalms 27: 13-14

“I remain confident of this:

I will see the goodness of the Lord

in the land of the living.

Wait for the Lord;

be strong and take heart

and wait for the Lord.”

Friends, we will see the goodness of the Lord in our land.  Hold on to the rock that is greater and higher than us and don’t let go no matter how hard this storm is.  I am convinced that we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land that He has given to you and to me.

Wait in the Hebrew means “to bind together”.  Let us bind ourselves together with the Lord.  Be intentional!  Daily hold on to Jesus.  Jesus was the One who calms the storm (Matt 8: 23 -27). Whatever storm we are going through, if we bind ourselves with Jesus, we will surface with life – abundance life!

“Wait for the Lord (bind yourself to the Lord), be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”  He is strong enough to pull you up.

Prayer :

Lord Jesus, we bind ourselves to you daily.  Pull us up to the surface when the storm is too much for us.  Life Giver, Victorious One, we are confident that we will see Your goodness in the land of the living – the inheritance you have given to us.  We believe in You Lord Jesus.
